Technical Advisor


Jenni Owen is the Equine Technical Advisor for Day, Son & Hewitt and joined the company in 2017.

Before this, Jenni owned and ran her own online equestrian retail business for five years as well as being a freelance riding instructor.

Jenni graduated with a first class BSc in Equine Science from Myerscough in 2010 and went on to complete an MSc in Equine Science from Hartpury. Jenni’s passion is horses and has ridden since she was five, she now still rides clients’ horses on a regular basis.





Leigh-Ann Kilner

Business Advisor


Leigh-Ann is our Equine Business Advisor for Day, Son & Hewitt and began working with us in March 2017.

Leigh-Ann began riding at the age of 4. Her first job was as a stable hand at a riding school, spending her weekends developing her knowledge and passion. She has a degree from the University of Lancaster in photography and has been a keen equine portrait photographer for over five years and has had a successful business of her own.

Leigh-Ann is currently bringing on her young Exmoor pony and is a huge enthusiast for this rare, native breed.





Jodi Porter

Customer Service Advisor


Jodi is married to Daniel and they have a son and a daughter; Leo, age 7 and Tia-Shay, age 3. Outside of work Jodi loves nothing more than spending time with her family, participating in fun activities with her children.





Lauren Griffiths

Area Sales Manager


Horses have always been a passion for Lauren, having her first riding lesson aged three. Lauren had her first Welsh pony aged 7, competing in local showing and working hunter trials.

Progressing onto horses in her teens it was obvious the equine industry would cross over in a professional capacity. Lauren followed her passion throughout her education completing college and university level qualifications including; BHS Exams, FdSc Equine Science, BSc Equine Science and Management with a scientific publication in British Society of Animal Science Journal.

Her previous industry experience includes work within the educational sector as Equine Student Supervisor and most recently four years as Assistant Manager on a top Livery and Rehabilitation facility in the North West.

Lauren has previously enjoyed producing young horses for the disciplines of Dressage and Showing with great success. However she now focusing on the challenge of Day, Son & Hewitt, before looking for her next equine partner.
